When Plaaskind (translated to Farm Child) posted about this little nuggets, I simply had to try them and it took me all of 30 minutes to whip this babies up. So in other words, they are simple and oh so delicious!!! They reminded me of sitting in my gran's kitchen, or of a farmhouse in the Freestate.
I couldn't believe how easy they were to make, and I am not a baker, by any means....but I think I can blow my own horn on these (thanks Plaaskind ;)
Here is her recipe:
2 tbsp honey
100gr caster sugar
1 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tbsp boiling water
100gr plain flour
Melt the butter and honey together. Mix the boiling water and Bicarb. Mix all the dry ingredients and then add the liquids and mix well. Roll into little balls and bake them in an oven preheated to 180degrees. Result - YUM!
I love recipes that are super easy for little ones to help with. And that they love to eat so bonus all round. I hope you love them as much as us!
