Vergelegen Wine Estate

It was a beautiful winters morning that found us at Vergelegen Wine Estate, in the heart of Somerset West. Strange to think that though when you are there and you are surrounded by the absolute beauty of this wine estate.

The vast gardens, the kids play area, the heritage, and the food...all play a part in making this one of the most popular wine estates in the area. But I'm a mom, and I look for places where my tots can be free and happy - and the play area and gorgeous garden paths that beg you to meander through them (and kind of want you to get lost), offer exactly that!

Vergelegen has two restaurants on the estate - Stables, which offers a relaxed atmosphere described as "classic, with a modern twist" and is kiddy friendly. Camphors, on the other hand is stylish and sophisticated - and not child friendly :) But you can also picnic here in the beautiful gardens. Not BYO and although I have not tried it myself, the menu looks delicious!

There is so much to do and see here, its not hard to see why its so loved.
